VH Barber & Styling Academy was established by Derrick and Vanette Harris with the aspiration to raise the standard of education and professionalism within the hair industry.
Since 1994, Vanette Harris has been working and striving to create pathways for individuals to follow in order to define their creative abilities and learn how to best express themselves. Having worked in the field of Barber/Cosmetology as a Master Stylist, Instructor (Barber and Cosmetology), Salon Owner, and Farouk Systems Inc., Executive Master CHI Educator, Vanette Harris believes education is a pillar in the foundation for success. Derrick T. Harris is a licensed Barber Stylist/Instructor and holds a M.A. from Louisiana Tech. With nearly 30 years as a public servant, Derrick believes in professionalism and providing an environment for students and clients to grow.
VH Academy is committed to assisting individuals interested in the career of Barber Styling. We support licensure and employment in the hair care industry. The Academy is staffed with individuals committed to the school mission. VH Barber & Styling Academy opens its doors to those who love to learn in a structured environment!
